A transformer explosion occurred in a certain county a few days ago. The cause of the accident was that the transformer of waste shredder machine was overloaded. Because the waste shredder machine is in operation, the current required is relatively large. Although it is generally safe, we must be foolproof. The following seven measures are taken to avoid accidents.
First, control the operation of the transformer of waste shredder machine to prevent overload, such as long-term overload, easy to make the coil heat, insulation slowly aging, short circuit between turns.
Second, to prevent transformer of waste shredder machine core insulation aging damage: iron core insulation aging or clamping bolt casing damage, the core will produce a large eddy current, the core heat caused by long-term insulation insulation aging.
Third, prevent inadvertent damage to the insulation: When repairing the lifting core, the transformer should be protected to protect the coil or the insulating sleeve. If it is found to have damage, it should be disposed of in time.
Fourth, the transformer low voltage is very large and the unbalanced current must not exceed 25% of the rated value; the allowable range of transformer power supply voltage variation is plus or minus 5% of the rated voltage.
Fifth, ensure good wire contact: poor contact of the inner joint of the coil, connection point between the coil, contact to the high and low side bushings, and poor contact of the branch points on the tap changer, local overheating will occur, and insulation will be destroyed. Short circuit or open circuit. The high temperature arc generated at this time decomposes the insulating oil, generates a large amount of gas, and increases the pressure inside the transformer. An explosion occurs when the pressure exceeds the gas breaker protection setting without tripping.
